  1. What I want to tell you is that this is such a great idea! Now I’ll have to go through my own style board and match some looks up with patterns.

Of these looks, I’m really loving the black and white pencil skirt with the white cropped top.

  2. I have that same outfit (the one with the brownish tutu skirt and grey top) pinned on my sewing inspiration board! I am so excited that you’ve shown me the light and I can completely recreate it myself.

  3. I love the Dixie DIY summer concert tee with the BHL Charlotte skirt – the contrast of the boxy tee & fitted skirt is perfect! I love the idea of this sewing indie month to celebrate all the hard work of the fabulous indie designers!

  4. I love the Nettie with the tutu, I with I could get away with that look every day. I also think it looks great with the BHL Charlotte Skirt I think they would be super saucy and figure hugging together. So much inspiration, I need to get sewing right now!

  5. I really, really love the second-to-last outfit, with the stunning pleated skirt!
I can’t possibly tell you what my favourite indie pattern is, there are just way too many that I love.
This month is going to be so much fun! Thanks for the giveaway! The Nettie looks very, very useful, particularly for winter, and I love your versions!

  6. I love love the bhl victoria blazer and the Maria Denmark winnie wide legged trousers with the crop underneath! One day soon i wish to have the confidence pull that look off. So sexy and feminine!

  7. I’m currently loving COCO. Made of a comfy knit, you have a dress with pockets that feels like pajamas. What could possibly be better for a long work day??

  8. YES! yes to all of these! and i totally also have tutus on the brain, ever since i made my poufy cammo skirt a few months ago…i just really want to make tutus.

  9. Well! I love all of your pinned looks but…….I am almost 62! So less in the way of tutu and more lovely skirt. The Nettie is sure a good look for all of our ages and stages of life!

I just made 2 of the Maria Denmark kimono tops today. One tunic length and one t shirt length.

I would like to make some PJs for this challenge as well.

  10. I am seriously Loving the concert tee + Charlotte skirt… But I’m so obsessed with the Nettie body suit. U could practically pair that with anything & look Awesome!!!!

  11. Wow – love the looks! I really want to make the Angela Wolf’s bootcut jeans with a Nettie to go with – so excited about the bodysuit!

  12. Loving these tutu looks. I don’t know where I’d wear one if I made one, but I kind of want one anyway. I love the tutu/nettie look. It’s what I love about ballet clothing without the downside (leotard up your butt, sunflower tutu, etc.) Really cute! 🙂

  13. i’m absolutely loving the coco and raven look, these are definitely patterns that are at the top of my to-buy list!

  14. I’m another fan of the nettie and the tutu, and gosh I wish I could wear that look. But you have picked a lot of great wearable looks, and I also like the Victoria blazer plus Winnie trousers. And ….yes, I like lots of these looks. Great inspiration! Thank you

  15. Gorgeous! What a great idea. I’m dreaming of the Nettie with tutu …in all the colours of the rainbow 🙂

  16. I LOVE the cropped long sleeve Nettie with the circle skirt, although I also love the Nettie with a pleated skirt or tutu skirt. It just goes to show how many different ways it can be worn!

Thanks for hosting such a lovely giveaway and sharing some beautiful inspiration pictures too 🙂

  17. I love the pencil skirt and concert tee – but its definitely not a look I could pull off, so for wearability my favourite would have to be the Dixie DIY Summer Concert Tee + BHL Pleated Skirt Tut or the Closet Case Patterns Nettie + BHL Tutu.

  18. That’s the great thing about sewing- you see something you like in a picture and chances are there’s a pattern to make it yourself. Thank you for all those great ideas!
My favourite would be the first photo -the black leotard and ‘tutu’.
Thank you for hosting such a great giveaway.

  19. Love all those looks. The Nettie looks amazing, no bunching at the waist is always good!

  20. Fallen in style love with every picture, zoe saldana can I be you?, but for my body type…. my favs are gonna have to be cropped LS Nettie + BHL FREE Circle Skirt Tutorial (hugging those curves) and the Closet case patterns Nettie + BHL Tutu Tutorial (all that shoulder and still demure!!)
    Thanks for the giveaway ^.^

  21. Just so you know…..I am old enough to have worn a body suit many decades ago. Good look for me then and a good look for me now.

  22. I love the white cropped tee with the white pleated skirt (which could also be a Colette Zinnia). I didn’t know about the pleated skirt tutorial, so will need to have a look. I also never thought about cropping the Nettie, so loads of inspiration there. Thanks for this!

  23. I think for me it would have to be Nettie with By Hand London’s tutu pattern. I love both the black and grey/brown variations but think I’d have to go with the black for myself – the style is a bit more sedate and I could wear it for work so would get a lot more use out of it that way.

  24. I LOVE the first look with the Nettie inspired top and full skirt! I am seriously contemplating buying the Nettie by Closet Case Patterns!

  25. i love this idea of pairing inspiration looks with patterns! that was my favorite feature on the sew weekly… way back when! i think the nettie would look awesome with CP zinnia, similar to the first look you showed!
