Sunshine Scout on a Graffiti Day!

Sunshine on a Graffiti Day

My first Scout made for my Kollabora Sew-Along!

It’s sunshine in garment form! Look at it gloooow with the setting sun hitting it!

Sunshine on a Graffiti Day

Modified, a bit. Tunic-ish length, looser body, SUNSHINE-Y color!

Top :: Grainline Scout Woven Tee
Jeans :: F21
Sandals :: Target
Bracelets & Elephante Necklace :: from my Sissy
Jade ring :: my late granny’s

Sunshine on a Graffiti Day

Making this nearly beat me. Started too late, had too much to do the last few days, the twins graduated today and the cloud of fatigue that hovered over me tried to take me down.

You guys can win, too!! Jen and Kollabora have cooked up something good!! Check it out here!

And, for those of you new to sewing (are there any new sewists following this blog?) I’ve added more construction steps over on the Sew-Along page.

  1. I love your t-shirt! It looks awesome on you 🙂 and I just got to mention the backgrounds: Some amazing graffiti that I think brings out the simple design and solid color of the shirt!

    I’ve noticed that sewalongs and challenges are bit of a problem for me: something always happens to screw up my plans (also I don’t have a big stash, so I need to get the material first which might take time). But in the end I think it’s not a big deal.

  2. I love the longer length you’ve used here! The fabric is lovely and drapey too. Thanks so much for the fitting advice on your sewalong – it’s been so useful!
