Happy New Y…er…January!!

2/52: 10 Things

Since I have declared this a “no resolution” year, I am not even going to apologize for posting this new year welcome on the 16th of the month!

How awesome is that? It’s my blog and I will wish you happy new year whenever I damn well please ;o)

I’ve also decided not to do a end of the year look at all the stuff I made mosaic, because I don’t want to and you can’t make me!

This is soooo liberating!

But seriously, I just really don’t feel like it right now. The weight of how much I didn’t feel like it was keeping me from posting and that’s just stupid. Besides, I have tons of new stuff to show you. Next post.

The are only a few things I would like to say here about 2009, which was indeed a whirlwind! I went back to work and discovered that I can still communicate with adults and make new friends. I have so many awesome coworkers it makes up for the one (two really)  bad apple spoiling the bunch. I have never worked with employers that have such faith in me. It has taken some getting used to. Everyone should experience genuine respect and gratitude from their superiors, it’s life altering.

It was the year my oldest son began school. He had never spent even one minute with someone who didn’t love him as much as I do, so I really worried he would have a terrible time adjusting. But he was a champ and I am grateful.

2009 was the year I decided to apply to Grad school. Blame it on those super smart, super supportive coworkers I mentioned! I just submitted my application and am now engaged in the waiting game.

It was the year that the sewing bug really caught me and became a real contender for top hobby. I have so much more to share with you all. I hope to really make this space something to see in the year 2010. I have no resolutions, just plans…

  4. Hi Nettie,

I couldn’t find an email address for you, so I thought I’d just leave you a note here.

We would love to have you represent New York in the postcard swap! Could you send me an email with your mailing info?
