Being without my camera is practically unthinkable. I don’t think I can lose it in the house and who the hell would I lend it to.
Enter one of the hubby’s childhood friends.
I feel as though one of my hands is missing without that camera. So many picture opportunities have been missed. I didn’t realize how many photos I took until the damn camera wasn’t here. So instead of showing the significant progress I have made on my Affro Girl Doll I will show you some things I didn’t blog about.
The journey taken while making these has given me a new appreciation for people who frequently doing custom orders. A lot can pop up. But they are done and beautiful if I do say so myself.
I also got a whole heap of yarn recently. A huge box of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes to be exact. Fifteen balls in Claret Heather for a self designed raglan sweater. I also got several shades of brown WOTA to see which would work best for my doll. I rounded out the selection with a couple skeins each of Coal, Cloud and Mist for other ideas knocking around my noggin.
My hubby got a rebate in the form of a gift card right after I placed this order. He asked me if I wanted it for more yarn or something. Uhh… Yeah! The things these husbands come up with, shesh.
So imagine 6 skeins of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool in the shexy Bristol Red colorway in that empty space. They should be here any day now. I will admit I am anxious to see if it lives up to the hype. And to get my camera back =)
