WIP Parade

I have been knitting, a lot actually. I’m tackling the list I made for myself earlier this summer. Although I don’t think I’ll be making anything for daughter #1 anytime soon. She is a little too opinionated about what details she would like added. So…

Here is my progress on Wicked for my sister

And a Tomten for son #1*

I feel the lace knitting jones coming back so I may have to dig through my yarn stash for my lace weight yarn and see what happens. Although I have been thinking that I should start with a worsted weight and see what happens. Opinions? As for the writing type to-do’s on the list, eh. Retyping this script is a bitch, but a necessary one. The other stories are coming along nicely too.

*Son #1 continues to surprise and horrify me with the creative ways he causes trouble. He likes to put things in the sink, whether they belong there or not. Well unbeknownst to me he put a green crayon in the sink, the cheap kind that melt really easily. Can you see where I’m going with this? I ran the (extremely) hot water in the sink, melted said crayon and ruined several plastic plates and my plastic strainer. Now I approach the sink with caution.

  1. LOL. Ohhhhhhh I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to know I’m not the only one out there! My 2-year old stuck a plastic cat toy waaaaaaaay in the back of our woodstove (on top) and for months after that every time we fired up the woodstove the reek of melting plastic would fill the air and we’d look at each-other in total bewilderment wondering where on earth the smell was coming from!I’ll say to you what everyone else says to me (and which causes me to totally roll my eyes) “oh, but someone that ADORABLE can’t be mischievous!!!!!”………obviously only people who don’t have children can say such nonsense. ;>

  2. I think all little boys can’t help but be mischievous (mine included). Must b e an EZ bug going around because it seems as if a lot of toddler Tomtens are popping up allover blogland lately.
