About Me

I’m a married mama of four, working hard to make all of our lives the best that they can be. I manage to cram a lot into my days. Writing. Knitting. Sewing. Reading. Crafting. Thrifting. And my family too.

It is my deepest personal ambition to see my name up on a movie screen just under the title of writer. A close second would be my name on a book cover.

I love all shades of purple, sarcastic people and comments, summertime, staying up late, anything British, BROOKLYN! and, of course, my family. I dislike wearing skirts in the winter and pants in the summer. I hate taking taxis and I love to walk. I curse too much, sleep too little, and should get out of the house more!

  1. I love, love, love your blog. You are talented and although I no longer share your aspiration to write screenplays, I will be first in line to see your film!

  2. What a refreshing blog!

You hit me where I live — a mom of 5, stay-at-home, my youngest just leaving the toddler stage to emerge into a little boy-thing (he’ll be 4 in October), and trying to fit knitting, etc. in as ~ mommy-therapy! ~

Hope you don’t mind if I add you to my blogroll on my blog — I’d like to follow your adventures!

  4. I love your blog. You write beautifully and are a knitter on top of that, how wonderful. I look forward to seeing how your resolutions work out and what projects you come up with.

  5. I just wanted to let you know that your blog is such fresh air!
Thank you for sharing your world!

I’m just learning to knit and Felicity is on the top of my list of projects.

    • Hi Cindy,

I make one and then knit it through the back of the loop. That seems to make the most invisible increase for me. I do try to pull it tightly, though to make it as invisible as possible.

      I hope that helps!

  8. I love your bio! I saw your blog on Oona’s email about the meetup on Friday, and see here we have a lot in common (besides the kiddos!:)). I too live in Brooklyn (Crown Heights) and am a writer. I also dream of seeing my name on the big screen:)

    Look forward to meeting you!
