  1. Oona keep saying i need to sew victory patterns so that would have to be my first choice. Grainline would be my second.
My favourite colour is royal navy blue, my fav book is sherlock holmes, my favourite quote is “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

  2. Would love to win a Victory Pattern download, or failing that, Grainline Studio. I’ve seen lots of lovely versions of the moss skirt popping up on blogs. Favourite colour – Blue! All shades of it!

  3. If I were to be so lucky, choice one would be Grainline Studios’ Scout Woven Tee- I seriously covet that pattern!- and choice two would be the lovely Victory Patterns’ Nicola. (If I don’t win, though, my paycheck’ll catch up someday, enough to maybe actually *buy* them, I hope! LOL) Since you’re being so kind, I’ll be charitable, too: love the color red (it was my grandmother’s favorite, too), am currently reading “Falling Free” by Lois McMaster Bujold and loving it, and for the quote: “A man’s character is most evident by how he treats those who are not in a position either to retaliate or reciprocate.” – Paul Eldridge
Thanks for the opportunity- you have a great day!

  4. Awesome giveaway! I’ve been loving your blog and style since I found you via following me on instagram! My choice A would be Victory patterns, followed by Grainline as choice B. As for my favourite colour: deep turquoise or bright pink and favourite book: anything by Tess Gerritsen, I love a good crime thriller!

  5. I would love to win a Victory pattern.
    Fav color, gray
    Fav book, the Velveteen Rabbit
Fav quote, “nut up or shut up”
Thanks for the chance to win a pattern.

  6. Hmmm… first choice is Victory pattern. Second is Grainline Studio. Favorite color – chartreuse though I can’t actually wear it very well.

  7. Fun! You’re so generous! I would pick Victory first, then Grainline. My favorite color is any shade of pink. My favorite book is A Little Princess. A fab quote? “The cure for anything is salt water-sweat, tears, or the sea.” Isak Dinesen

  8. Wow! How fun! Okay, so my A is Victory Patterns (Ava) and my B is Grainline Studio (Moss Skirt). Color = magenta, Book = East of Eden, Quote is from Charlotte’s Web and goes something like, “. . . the sameness of sheep, the nearness of rats, and the glory of everything.” I use it as a toast (on the rare occasions I am called on to give one). Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  9. Wow fab giveaway! Choice A) Victory Patterns B)Grainline
    Favourite colour is probably mustard
Favourite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
and my all time favourite quote is “If you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will spend its life believing it is stupid.” (Albert Einstein)

  10. Cool! My choice A is Victory patterns, and B is grainline!
My favorite quote today is that “alcohol becomes a problem when is stops being a beverage”. I’m taking a class on mental health and addiction, and have been reading about alcoholism all week. I promise, it’s really interesting!

  11. I’ve always wanted to try a Victory Pattern so I choose A and my second choice would be C.

  13. First choice Victory, second Grainline – although either and any would make me happy!
My favourite colours are grey and purple. Such reliable standbys! (I might have five grey dresses.)
I don’t remember having a favourite book because I’ve been in grad school for too long… can’t wait to escape and read for pleasure again!
Thanks for a great giveaway xox

  14. My first choice is Grainline and the second is Victory Patterns. I love too many books, but for easy reading I’ll go with the mystery novels of Martha Grimes. Love how she describes the settings making it so easy to visualize. As for colors, it used to be blues and black, but now I am really liking bright colors like greens, yellows, and some shades of pink. Thanks for the giveaway!

  15. Choice A would be Mimi G and choice B would be Victory. I don’t have a favorite book because lately everything I’ve been reading has been outstanding (Elegance of the Hedgehog, maybe?) I just picked up Here Comes Trouble and so far it’s very entertaining, and more than a little sad.

  16. Choice A: Victory patterns! That Madeline pattern has been on my todo list for a while
Choice B:Mimi G Style that high waisted pencil skirt looks great and could be made to go with anything/everything

  17. Wow, awesome giveaway! Choice A would be Victory, and choice B Grainline. My favourite colour is yellow, my favourite book is The Power of One by Bryce Courtney (and now I feel bad for all the books I didn’t pick…but The Power Of One has been with me for sooo looong), and my favourite quote is “When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly” -Edward Teller.

  18. Victory patterns and then grainline. Blue, Pride and Prejudice. A man has to stand on top of a hill for a long time before a roast duck flies into it – Confucius.

  19. Oh, fabulous! My first choice would be a Victory Patterns one (either Nicola or Ava), and my second choice would be Grainline’s Kat dress.

My favourite colours are purple and pink. And orange. And red. And burgundy. (I find it hard to choose one, indecisive much?!?)

  20. A Victory B Grainline.
My favorite color is purple and right now I’m seriously crushing on Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer

  21. Well, how kind you are! I have always wanted to make Victory pattern’s Lola dress. And I like Grainline’s moss mini skirt pattern a lot, too. My favorite color is all of them. I tell my students it would be like me picking a favorite child ;). I can’t think of a favorite book but I just finished A TIme In Between by Maria Duenas and it was wonderful. And my favorite quote comes from artist Chuck Close– “Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get to work.” I try to remind myself of this daily.

  22. How nice of you! I’d choose A: Victory or B Grainline.

One of my favorite quotes which I first heard from an Ann Landers column is:
No one can take advantage of you without your permission.

  23. How nice of you! I’d choose A: Victory or B: Grainline.

One of my favorite quotes is one I first read in an Ann Landers column.

“No one can take advantage of you without your permission”
    -wise words :)

  24. This is fantabulously generous of you-thanks for setting this up and please count me in. My choices A and B are Victory Patterns and Grainline patterns and my favourites for the questions you asked are as follows:
Color: Chartreuse, followed closely by sunshine yellow and burgundy.
Book: o0 Too many to mention but I’ll chose My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell for its family friendly humour and classic-osity.
A fab quote: We have facts for those who think, arguments for those who reason; but he who cannot be reasoned out of his prejudices must be laughed out of them; he who cannot be argued out of his selfishness must be shamed out of it by the mirror of his hateful self held up relentlessly before his eyes.”
    -Wendell Phillips, American abolitionist, 1853
    .
Most of my idols are from the suffragette, abolitionist and humanist movements and that quote is at the top of my list of inspiring thoughts-I remind myself of it whenever I come across bigots (on social media and in real life) – it moves me act rather than stay silent against injustice because it reminds me that all the freedoms I enjoy today are a direct result of all the sacrifices made by those who came before me.

  25. Oooh! This is a sweet giveaway! Count me in for a Victory Pattern or Grainline. And a lovely quote I read the other day… Mistakes are only proof that you are trying. Oh, so true with sewing!

A fab quote- “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.” –John Lennon

  27. Choice A = Grainline. Choice B = Mimi.
And as for feeling generous, who doesn’t like talking about themselves?
I’m not very monogamous with a favourite colour.
I have read so many good books, but my favourite mystery authors lately have been Laurie R King and Alan Bradley.
And a good (but sarcastic) quote I heard today was ‘you are a passive-aggressive canary in the morale coalmine’. Thankfully the comment was not directed at me.
Thank you for offering this giveaway.

  47. Wow, thanks for sharing some of these indie patterns, most of them were new to me! My first choice would be Victory Patterns and my second choice is Mimi G Style.
