Frazzeled and Sleepy

Post Hurricane Irene I am tired from staying up all nearly all night for the last three days. I slept most of the day today thanks to hubby’s unexpected day off, but I am still weary from the state of worry I was in. I am glad that we were prepared, even though it turned out to have been unneccessary. Better safe than sorry.

I have so much to update here. A few home improvement projects to feather our new nest. Our little party to celebrate our move. Two A’s for my summer school efforts. Some little sewing here and there. And new fabric, which I always love. I’ve been in a bit of a weird mood lately. I’m not too sure what it’s all about. But I have so much to be happy and hopeful about. I try to focus on that.

In less than two weeks, all of my children will be in school for the first time. The time this affords me seems like something out of a dream. I can hardly decide what I should do with myself. I’ve been applying for part-time library positions, no success so far. It’s a competitive field and I lack experience. Tis no matter. I’m sure I can find something to fill my days with.

I’ll be back soon. Well rested and with photos.

  1. I can imagine with a hurricane coming through, there was a LOT of opportunity for worry. I know I would have been a wreck. But I’m glad that everything turned out ok and I agree it’s better to be safe than sorry. Congratulations on your A’s! How exciting to have all your kiddos in school. I’ve only had my kiddo for 5 months, but can already see why parents look forward to that day. :)
