I have joined something else. This is so addictive. I know so few people who would appreciate small knitted items so this is perfect. I can give something to someone who will really enjoy and appreciate it and have some fun making things as well.
So tops on my list to make right now are the small bags, the round and bobbled rectangular one’s are my favorite. Also I just have to have on of those cupcakes to use as a pin cushion. I think that is something my grandma may like although she hasn’t sewn anything in a while. I wanted to make my Grandma the lace scarf from the spring Interweave Knits for Mothers day but I have never knit lace on small needles so I don’t want to give myself and impossible goal to reach. Also I don’t have a swift and winder so I am not looking forward to hand winding yarn that is so fine. I’m thinking I may try to rig up something that will spin and use my old hand mixer to wind it.
As a plan B I’m making a few of those bags from One Skein and the cupcake pin cushion for the two Grandma’s. My mom is a little easier she will like something handmade if my Grandma gets one. My mother in law is sort of easy too, so maybe everybody will get a bag. That way I’ll be stashbusting, practicing for my Pal’s gift, and making everybody happy that no one’s gift was better than anyone else’s. Perfect. Other people have this problem with the Moms in their lives right?
